The Short Version

Unseizable is a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet. Your private keys and recovery phrase are generated and stored on your device — never on our servers. We collect the minimum data needed to run the app and meet Canadian regulatory requirements, and we do not sell your personal information.

What We Collect

  • Email address — for support or product updates.
  • Identity details (name, date of birth, government ID) — only where Canadian regulation requires verification.
  • App version, device type, and OS version — to keep the app working.
  • Aggregated, non-identifying crash and performance diagnostics — to improve app stability.

What We Never Collect

Your private keys or recovery phrase — they are generated on your device and stay there. We never take custody of your Bitcoin, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the Unseizable wallet service.
  • To comply with Canadian regulatory requirements, including identity verification where required by law.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs using aggregated, non-identifying diagnostics.

Third-Party Services

Unseizable integrates with third-party services to provide core functionality:

  • Privy — for authentication (email-based sign-in).
  • Relay / Paytrie — for CAD-to-Bitcoin purchases via Interac e-Transfer. These providers may collect additional information as required by Canadian financial regulations.

We do not share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. Identity verification records are retained as required by Canadian anti-money laundering regulations.

Data Security

Your keys and recovery phrase are stored using your device's hardware-backed key storage and never leave the device. Connections are encrypted in transit, and access to data is limited to personnel who need it.

Children's Privacy

Unseizable is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Under Canadian privacy law you may:

  • Access your personal information held by Unseizable.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information (except records we are legally required to retain).
  • Withdraw consent for optional communications.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app and updating the "Last updated" date above.
